Bloomington, Indiana – The Cancer Support Community of South Central Indiana is inviting people from all walks of life to join them in a special celebration on Sunday, June 1, 2025. The event, which honors cancer survivors and their journeys, will take place from noon to 2:00 p.m. at the South Lobby of Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall.
This uplifting gathering will be filled with joy, music, and support. It’s free to attend and open to everyone, whether you’re a cancer survivor, a caregiver, a friend, or simply someone who wants to stand in solidarity with those affected by cancer. The two-hour event promises something for all ages, including fun kids’ activities, sweet treats, and food concessions.
In addition to the lively atmosphere, the event will offer wellness experiences such as mini-reiki and mini-massage sessions for those seeking a moment of peace or self-care. A resource fair will also be on-site, providing valuable information for those seeking support services, guidance, or just a connection to others who understand the cancer journey.
“All cancer survivors in attendance may participate in the free door prize drawing,” say organizers, adding a touch of excitement to the day’s program. It’s just one of many ways the Cancer Support Community is working to make survivors feel seen, appreciated, and celebrated.
While the event is free, RSVPs are encouraged and can be made online at https://cancersupportscin.org/national-cancer-survivors-day. Those looking for more information can also reach out directly by calling 812-929-0658 or emailing [email protected].
