Indianapolis, Indiana – The University of Indianapolis School of Business recently held its annual Outstanding Business Alumni Award Celebration, recognizing five distinguished alumni for their remarkable contributions to their respective fields. This event, which honors UIndy graduates who have made significant strides in business and leadership, serves as a testament to the School of Business’s commitment to producing professionals who make a lasting impact.
Among the honorees was Rebecca Fromm Quintana, a seasoned leader in the accounting world. Fromm Quintana’s career has been nothing short of impressive, having worked in public accounting since 1998. As a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), she has held various positions at prominent national and local firms. Currently, she serves as the Managing Director for CBIZ, after previously being Principal at Somerset CPAs. Her extensive experience includes auditing for-profit and publicly held companies, designing internal control systems, and financial reporting. A specialist in industries such as manufacturing, transportation, and software, she has notably consulted for Japanese-owned businesses and provided guidance on initial debt offerings. Fromm Quintana’s achievements reflect her unwavering commitment to excellence in the accounting and financial sectors.

Another notable awardee, Timothy Harris II, is the International Director at Harris & Ford, LLC, a leading distributor of chemicals and related products. Harris’s background is as diverse as it is impressive. Holding multiple degrees, including a Doctorate in Counseling and a Master’s in Multimedia, Harris has applied his broad academic foundation to the business world. His entrepreneurial spirit has led him to found ventures such as All Points Global and H&F Logistics, and he is recognized for his expertise in international business, logistics, and strategic sourcing. Harris has also demonstrated leadership outside of business, having served on the University of Indianapolis Alumni Board of Directors and currently sitting on the board of Goodwill. His accolades include the Congressional Black Caucus Emerging Leader Award and the Sid Tuchman Award, which he received from UIndy. In his free time, Harris remains active in various fields, working as a real estate agent, musician, and writer.
Jeffery Mitchell, the Chief Revenue Officer at IGEL Technology, was also honored at the ceremony. With over a decade of experience in software and cloud computing, Mitchell has driven the growth of companies such as Aisera and Nexthink, and helped scale VMware’s revenue beyond $1 billion. Mitchell’s work focuses on providing secure and innovative cloud workspace solutions for enterprises. His ability to lead high-performing teams and foster strategic partnerships has been a hallmark of his career. With IGEL, he has continued to innovate in the field of Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) and Mobile Device Management (MDM), creating cutting-edge solutions for businesses around the world.
Debra Ross, who retired in June 2024, was recognized for her exceptional leadership during her 31 years at The National Bank of Indianapolis. Ross was an integral part of the bank’s development, having helped to implement strategic initiatives in accounting, finance, and risk management from its founding in 1993. She served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, overseeing financial reporting, regulatory filings, and asset management. Ross’s work ensured the bank’s successful operations and sound financial standing, and her expertise in risk management and investment portfolios shaped the bank’s growth and stability.
Lastly, Jeff Whorley Jr., Executive Vice President at Fiserv, Inc., received recognition for his extensive career in the financial services sector, particularly in education funding. With over 25 years of experience in this specialized area, Whorley has held various leadership roles, helping to guide and innovate student loan processing services. In addition to his work at Fiserv, Whorley’s career includes an early stint in government where he became one of the youngest chiefs of staff on Capitol Hill at age 25. His service continues to this day as a commissioner for the Port of Indiana Commission, a role appointed by Governor Eric Holcomb. Whorley’s dedication to public service and business innovation has earned him numerous accolades throughout his career.
