The 2025 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 RST makes a grand entrance as the official 500 Festival event vehicle for the upcoming Indianapolis 500

Indianapolis, Indiana – The Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS) roared to life on March 31 with a stunning display of power and tradition. Thirty-nine identical 2025 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 RST trucks lined the main straightaway, marking a symbolic start to the much-anticipated Month of May and setting the stage for the upcoming Indianapolis 500.

For decades, Festival Event Vehicles have been a staple of the Indy 500’s lead-up, serving as rolling reminders of the legendary race. This year’s fleet, presented by IMS and Chevrolet executives, continues that legacy, bringing a modern blend of strength and style to the streets of Indiana.

A High-Performance Tribute to Racing Heritage

The 2025 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 RST 4WD Crew Cab is a formidable presence on and off the track. Under the hood, the truck packs a 6.2-liter V-8 engine, delivering an impressive 420 horsepower through a 10-speed automatic transmission. It features body-colored bumpers, center grille bars, and door handles, giving it a sleek and aggressive look that matches its powerful performance. The dual active exhaust system with sport mode further amplifies the driving experience, ensuring the Festival Event Vehicles live up to the excitement of the Indianapolis 500.

Each truck is coated in Summit White Tintcoat, with a Jet Black leather interior adding a touch of luxury to the rugged exterior. Rolling on 22-inch high-gloss black-painted aluminum wheels, these Silverados will undoubtedly turn heads as they make their way through Central Indiana, carrying the spirit of the Indy 500 wherever they go. The special Indianapolis 500 graphics emblazoned on each vehicle serve as a badge of honor, celebrating both Chevrolet’s storied motorsports history and its ongoing partnership with IMS.

Built in Indiana for an Indiana Tradition

These special edition trucks were assembled at the Fort Wayne Assembly plant, emphasizing Chevrolet’s deep connection to Indiana. As these trucks make their rounds in the coming weeks, they will stand as symbols of both local pride and the global prestige of the Indy 500.

“The tradition of providing Festival Event Vehicles is a hallmark in the countdown to the Month of May and the Indianapolis 500,” said Alyssa Haba, Chevrolet’s manager of motorsports strategic planning and operations. “Seeing these Silverados on the road throughout Central Indiana will embody the passion Chevrolet, IMS, and the 500 Festival have for the Indianapolis 500.”

A Countdown to Racing’s Greatest Spectacle

With the 109th Indianapolis 500 set for Sunday, May 25, excitement is reaching a fever pitch. These Festival Event Vehicles serve as a moving reminder of the race’s approaching grandeur, linking the past, present, and future of motorsports in a way only Indianapolis can.
