Indiana University’s fall part-time jobs fair will connect students with local employers on August 22 at Alumni Hall

Bloomington, Indiana – Indiana University is inviting employers to participate in the 2025 Fall Part-Time Jobs Fair, which will be held at Alumni Hall in the Indiana Memorial Union on the IU Bloomington campus. The event is scheduled for Friday, August 22nd, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. It promises to be an excellent opportunity for students to connect with potential employers while also gaining valuable experience, earning extra income, and building their professional networks.

The Fall Part-Time Jobs Fair is an important event for IU students. Many rely on part-time jobs to not only support themselves financially but also to build skills and make professional connections that will benefit them in their careers. Employers from both campus and local businesses are encouraged to attend and share the job opportunities and services they offer. This fair serves as a bridge between the academic world and the workforce, providing students with the chance to learn about and apply for jobs that will help them grow personally and professionally.

The fair is free for employers to participate in, making it an accessible and cost-effective way for organizations to engage with a highly motivated and diverse pool of students. Employers are welcome to bring up to three colleagues to represent their organization at the event. To make the registration process as smooth as possible, employers need an approved employer account on Handshake, the platform used for job fair registrations at IU. For those who do not yet have an account, instructions for creating one can be found online.

Once an employer’s account is approved, they can register for the event by following a provided link. IU ensures that participating employers receive all the necessary details in advance, with specific information about the fair being sent out by mid-July.

The university’s Career Services team is eager to help employers who may encounter any difficulties in setting up their accounts or registering for the event. Any questions or concerns can be addressed by reaching out to either the event organizer, John Rafalski, or Mary Clare Bauman, or by calling the Career Services office at 812-855-4317.

As the university continues to work toward supporting its students’ growth, the Fall Part-Time Jobs Fair plays an integral role in connecting the academic community with the workforce.

The 2025 Fall Part-Time Jobs Fair is a great chance for employers to not only advertise available positions but also to engage with the next generation of talent, helping students gain practical experience that will serve them well in their future careers. The university encourages all employers to take part in this important event and looks forward to seeing many companies participating in this exciting opportunity.
