Indianapolis, Indiana – Hoosiers looking for a little winter excitement don’t have to wait for spring to have fun. The Hoosier Lottery has launched a brand-new series of Scratch-off games called Gem 7s, offering instant entertainment and prizes across four different levels. Starting February 3, adults 18 and older can purchase these colorful new tickets at retailers across the state.

“As the Champions of Play, we’re excited to give Hoosiers a new way to find fun during the winter months,” said Hoosier Lottery Executive Director Sarah M. Taylor. “With instant fun and prizes up to $570,000, the Gem 7s Scratch-offs are the perfect way to brighten these winter days.”

The new series includes four distinct games designed to appeal to different players and prize levels: the $2 Sapphire 7s, the $5 Ruby 7s, the $10 Emerald 7s, and the $20 Diamond 7s. Each ticket offers a unique look and feel, with sparkling gemstones and engaging gameplay meant to make scratching off as entertaining as the chance to win.

Players who don’t win instantly on their Gem 7s tickets still have opportunities to score prizes through the Hoosier Lottery’s myLOTTERY 2nd Chance Promotion. Non-winning tickets can be entered into a drawing where two grand prize winners will each receive $5,000, and 12 other participants will claim prizes ranging from $200 to $2,500. Entries for this second-chance drawing are accepted until April 27, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. ET.

The Hoosier Lottery is also offering an extra digital opportunity for players through the free myLOTTERY challenge called Gemstone Smash. Participants in this interactive challenge can win one of five Hoosier Lottery Prize Packs valued at $250. Anyone interested in joining the challenge can sign up for free at HoosierLottery.com/myLOTTERY.

The odds of winning a prize vary slightly by game, but each Scratch-off offers frequent chances for players to celebrate small victories alongside bigger ones. The estimated overall odds are 1 in 4.35 for the $2 Sapphire 7s, 1 in 3.90 for the $5 Ruby 7s, 1 in 3.89 for the $10 Emerald 7s, and 1 in 3.80 for the $20 Diamond 7s. For the 2nd Chance promotion, odds depend on the total number of entries received.

The Gem 7s series is part of the Hoosier Lottery’s ongoing effort to make play accessible and entertaining, even during months when outdoor activities may be limited. With bright designs, instant prizes, and multiple opportunities to win both in-store and online, the new Scratch-offs offer a way to bring excitement into the winter routine.

For those looking to combine the thrill of the game with the chance to win bigger rewards, the Gem 7s Scratch-offs provide multiple layers of engagement. From the instant gratification of scratching a ticket to entering digital challenges or 2nd Chance drawings, players can interact with the Hoosier Lottery in more ways than ever before.

By blending classic lottery play with modern, interactive elements, the Hoosier Lottery continues to give residents more ways to play, win, and enjoy themselves.
