Constellation Stage & Screen announces an exciting 2025/26 season featuring a mix of thought-provoking dramas and family-friendly shows

Bloomington, Indiana – Constellation Stage & Screen has officially unveiled its 2025/26 season, marking an exciting array of diverse productions designed to engage and inspire audiences of all ages. This new season promises to be one of the most dynamic in the company’s history, combining Broadway hits, thrilling mysteries, world premieres, and family-friendly fare, all housed in the charming Waldron Auditorium. With eight productions in total, the 2025/26 season has something for everyone, ensuring that the community will have access to innovative theater experiences throughout the year.

The season kicks off with a deeply powerful and moving production of Next to Normal, a Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning rock musical that explores the complexities of mental health, family dynamics, and resilience. Running from September 4-21, 2025, this rock-infused masterpiece features music by Tom Kitt and a book and lyrics by Brian Yorkey. The story follows a family grappling with the effects of mental illness, all underscored by a moving and emotional rock score. It’s a raw, honest portrayal of the highs and lows of mental health, making it an important and poignant start to the season. Mayor Joe Hogsett’s announcement of the season echoed the importance of this production: “Next to Normal is a beautifully challenging show that will resonate deeply with anyone who has ever struggled with the pressures of life and the impact it has on relationships.”

In celebration of the 75th anniversary of the beloved Peanuts comic strip, Constellation will also present You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, a timeless, family-friendly classic. This charming show will be part of the company’s Constellation for Kids series and will be staged from November 1-16, 2025. It brings Charles Schulz’s iconic characters to life with humor and warmth in a delightful 60-minute performance perfect for children and families. Expect an hour of fun, song, and the irresistible charm of Snoopy, Charlie Brown, Lucy, and the rest of the Peanuts gang.

This holiday season, Constellation is offering an incredible double feature, beginning with the highly anticipated A Christmas Story: The Musical, based on the iconic holiday film. Playing from December 11, 2025, to January 4, 2026, this Broadway musical adaptation will bring to life the hilarious and heartwarming story of young Ralphie Parker and his Christmas wish for a Red Ryder BB gun. With songs by the creators of Dear Evan Hansen and The Greatest Showman, this show promises to be a joyous addition to any family’s holiday traditions.

In addition to A Christmas Story, Constellation will offer An Act of God, a riotous comedy for adult audiences. Written by the head writer of The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, this wickedly funny production offers a fresh take on divine wisdom as God Himself delivers a brand-new set of commandments for the modern world. Running from December 18-30, 2025, An Act of God is sure to leave the audience laughing and thinking. Although this production is a special event, it is available for early ticket access for season ticket holders.

The new year brings a thrilling twist with Séance: The Board Awakens, an original immersive theatrical experience written and performed by Rob Zabrecky, two-time Stage Magician of the Year. Audiences will take part in a mysterious séance filled with magic, suspense, and a touch of the supernatural. Running from January 29 to February 15, 2026, Séance promises to be an electrifying experience, giving theatergoers a chance to participate in the mystery and intrigue themselves.

Building on the momentum of the season’s thrilling shows, Constellation will present the Indiana premiere of The Da Vinci Code from March 26 to April 12, 2026. Based on the bestselling novel by Dan Brown, this suspenseful mystery follows symbologist Robert Langdon and cryptologist Sophie Neveu as they unravel an international conspiracy surrounding a murder at the Louvre Museum. Filled with mind-bending puzzles and a web of intrigue, this adaptation is sure to captivate audiences with its blend of intellect and adrenaline.

For younger audiences, Constellation is introducing a brand-new immersive theater-going experience called The PB&J Cafe: A Dinner Theater for Kids! The first production in this series is Finn, a heartwarming new musical about a young shark on the brink of growing up. Created by the Emmy-winning minds behind Doc McStuffins and Vampirina, Finn promises to be a hit for families with children. Playing from May 1-17, 2026, at the Waldron Auditorium, kids will not only watch the performance but will also enjoy a meal while interacting with the characters. At the end of the show, they can meet their favorites and get autographs, making it a truly interactive experience for all ages.

Rounding out the season is Another Revolution, a new drama by Jacqueline Bircher, who brought Constellation’s 2023 hit production of Webster’s B!+@# to the stage. Set during the turbulent year of 1968, Another Revolution tells the story of two grad students at Columbia University who find themselves at the intersection of social change and academic pursuit. Running from June 4-21, 2026, at the Constellation Playhouse, this gripping drama is sure to spark conversations about the social issues that defined a generation, offering a timely and powerful conclusion to the season.

Constellation is committed to making theater accessible for everyone in the community, and in keeping with this mission, they are bringing back the popular Pay What You Will Thursdays and Community Access Tickets programs. These initiatives ensure that everyone, regardless of financial background, can enjoy the thrill of live theater. Season ticket holders will have early access to tickets, while the Pay What You Will Thursdays will be available for all Mainstage shows. Additionally, two sensory-friendly performances are set for You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown and Finn: A New Musical, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for families with children who have autism or other sensory sensitivities.

Season ticket packages are now on sale and offer the best discounts of the year, early access to prime seating, and other exclusive perks.
