Bloomington, Indiana – Tickets for one of Bloomington’s most anticipated winter traditions will soon be available, as organizers announce the return of the Soup Bowl Benefit in early 2026. The 32nd Annual Soup Bowl, supporting Hoosier Hills Food Bank, is set for Sunday, February 22, 2026, with doors opening at 5 p.m. at the Monroe Convention Center.
Ticket sales begin January 1 and will be available exclusively online through hhfoodbank.org. Admission is priced at $35 for adults and $15 for children ages 16 and under. Each ticket includes more than just entry to the event. Guests will also take home a handmade ceramic bowl created by a local potter, making the evening both meaningful and memorable.
The Soup Bowl has become a signature event that blends generosity with creativity, bringing together Bloomington’s arts, music, and food communities under one roof. Attendees will be invited to browse hundreds of one-of-a-kind bowls, each crafted by area artists, before selecting their favorite to keep. At the same time, guests can sample soups and bread prepared by dozens of local restaurants, offering a wide range of flavors and styles.

Live music adds another layer to the experience. This year’s entertainment lineup includes performances by Charlie Jesseph, Sam Bartlett, Eric Schedler, and friends, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout the evening. Beverages will also be available from well-known local producers, including Oliver Winery, Upland Brewery, and Soma Coffeehouse.
Behind the scenes, a dedicated volunteer committee works months in advance to organize the benefit. The team includes Soup Bowl co-founders Carrie Newcomer and Robert Meitus, whose involvement continues to shape the event’s community-focused spirit. Their efforts, along with those of dozens of volunteers, help ensure the Soup Bowl remains both impactful and well-loved year after year.
Funds raised during the event directly support Hoosier Hills Food Bank and its hunger relief programs across six south central Indiana counties. The organization provides food assistance to thousands of individuals and families, and the Soup Bowl plays a vital role in sustaining those services. Sponsorship opportunities are also available for businesses and individuals interested in supporting the cause. Those inquiries can be directed to [email protected].
Organizers are reminding the public not to wait when tickets go on sale. The Soup Bowl has a long history of selling out quickly, often within a short time after tickets become available. Early purchase is strongly encouraged for anyone hoping to attend.
As January approaches, anticipation is already building for an evening that celebrates community, creativity, and compassion—one bowl of soup at a time.
