YMCA Southeast invites the community to explore handmade gifts at its annual holiday bazaar this December

Bloomington, Indiana – The holiday season at the YMCA Southeast will get an extra dose of warmth and creativity with the return of its annual Holiday Bazaar. Scheduled for Saturday, December 6, Monday, December 8, and Tuesday, December 9, the event offers the perfect opportunity to find unique, hand-crafted gifts for loved ones while supporting a good cause. The bazaar will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday and from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday, welcoming visitors to browse a colorful and carefully curated selection of items.

Shoppers can expect an array of hand-knitted and crocheted creations, including scarves, hats, stuffed animals, blankets, and more. Each piece reflects the time, skill, and dedication of volunteers who contribute to the Y Service in Friendship group. This group of community-minded individuals works throughout the year to knit, crochet, and quilt each item, knowing that their efforts will bring joy to both gift recipients and the broader YMCA community.

What sets this bazaar apart is the heart behind every purchase. All proceeds from the event will go directly to the Y for All Scholarship Fund, a program that provides financial assistance for individuals and families in need. This fund helps ensure that anyone can access YMCA memberships or participate in programs, regardless of financial circumstances. By shopping at the bazaar, visitors are not only taking home one-of-a-kind gifts but also helping make the YMCA more inclusive and accessible to everyone in the community.

The bazaar is a celebration of holiday spirit, creativity, and giving back. It provides an opportunity for families to gather, explore handmade treasures, and support a local cause that has a meaningful impact. From cozy winter accessories to whimsical stuffed animals, every item has a story and a purpose, making the shopping experience both festive and fulfilling.
