Indianapolis, Indiana – The University of Indianapolis is gearing up to celebrate a significant milestone this Saturday, May 3, as it prepares to host its 116th commencement ceremonies. Over 850 students will proudly walk across the stage at Nicoson Hall to receive their diplomas in one of three separate ceremonies scheduled throughout the day. These graduates come from diverse fields, including physical therapy, business, social work, and many others, marking the beginning of new professional journeys.
The day’s ceremonies will take place at Nicoson Hall, located at 3957 Campus Way on the UIndy campus. The first ceremony will begin at 10 a.m., honoring undergraduates from the Shaheen College of Arts and Sciences, as well as those in the College of Education and Behavioral Sciences. At 2 p.m., the spotlight will shift to students completing master’s and doctoral degree programs. The final ceremony of the day, scheduled for 6 p.m., will celebrate undergraduates from the College of Health Sciences and the School of Business. All of these events will be held at Nicoson Hall, and attendees can find parking conveniently located outside the venue at the corner of Hannah Avenue and Campus Drive.
University of Indianapolis President Tanuja Singh will deliver the charge to graduates during each ceremony, offering words of encouragement as they embark on the next chapter of their lives. In addition, a graduating student will offer remarks on behalf of the class, along with speeches from a member of the Board of Trustees and the president of the UIndy Alumni Association. These speeches will serve as a reminder of the hard work, perseverance, and dedication that has defined these students’ academic careers.
