The University of Indianapolis is honoring Greyhound pride by announcing the 2025 Homecoming Court made up of six students chosen by their peers

Indianapolis, Indiana – The University of Indianapolis marked a special milestone during this year’s Homecoming and Family Weekend by bringing back a tradition long cherished by students and alumni alike. For the first time in years, Homecoming Royalty returned to the celebrations, highlighting six outstanding students whose leadership, involvement, and school spirit reflect the very heart of Greyhound pride.

The student body voted from a slate of nominees, ultimately selecting six students who embody UIndy’s motto of “Education for Service” and who consistently work to build community both on and off campus. Each member of the 2025 Homecoming Court represents a different path of involvement, yet all share the same drive to uplift their peers and strengthen the Greyhound family.

Mathieu Derache ’26

Derache stands out for his ability to lead by example, both in athletics and in campus life. Known for his commitment to his teammates and for staying active in the larger UIndy community, he shows that Greyhound pride goes beyond competition. His steady presence and willingness to engage inspire others to follow his lead, making him a clear example of the values the Homecoming Court celebrates.

Anna Miles ’26

Miles is no stranger to wearing Greyhound pride on her sleeve—sometimes quite literally when she steps into the role of Ace, the university’s beloved mascot. Beyond energizing crowds, she serves as a Senior Resident Assistant, contributes to the Student Leadership and Activities Board, and represents the Music Therapy Association for Students. Her wide-ranging involvement underscores her commitment to making UIndy a welcoming and spirited place for all students.

Addison Mosley ’26

For Mosley, school spirit is about showing up loudly and proudly while creating spaces where others can do the same. As a leader in the Black Student Association, she has focused on ensuring students feel seen, supported, and celebrated. Her energy and resilience have helped foster a culture of recognition and belonging, strengthening the bonds of community across campus.

Jaleah Murphy ’26

Murphy channels her Greyhound pride through a focus on spiritual growth and inclusivity. As a founder of Warmth & Worship, she provides a consistent and welcoming space where students can gather, find encouragement, and build lasting connections. Her vision for creating safe environments reflects the broader mission of UIndy to combine personal development with community care.

She contributes through her work in the Student Government Association, serves as a Resident Assistant, and remains active in campus activities that strengthen community ties. Her commitment to lifting others up mirrors the shared spirit of collaboration and leadership that defines Greyhound pride.

Heaven Thompson ’28

Though newer to the UIndy community, Thompson has already made her mark. As a student-athlete on the basketball team and a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, she balances competition with leadership and positivity. Her joy in supporting fellow Greyhounds—whether on the court or from the stands—captures the essence of UIndy spirit.

The return of Homecoming Royalty adds a meaningful dimension to the annual celebrations. More than titles or recognition, the 2025 Homecoming Court reflects the collective energy of a student body that values leadership, service, and pride in their university. Each student chosen this year carries forward a tradition that links generations of Greyhounds together.

As Homecoming weekend came to a close, the presence of these six students on the Homecoming Court served as a reminder of what makes UIndy unique: a community where pride is not only spoken but lived daily. By honoring their contributions, the university celebrates not just the individuals, but the spirit of Greyhound pride that continues to thrive on campus.
