The Shops at Perry Crossing invites families to enjoy the free Summer Splash event with splash pad, activities, and special offers on May 28

Plainfield, Indiana – Families looking for a fun way to welcome summer can mark their calendars for a free afternoon of splashing, shopping, and smiles at The Shops at Perry Crossing. The lifestyle center has announced the return of its annual Summer Splash event, which will take place on Wednesday, May 28, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. in the center’s Town Square.

Designed to kick off the sunny season in style, the event features the official opening of the center’s popular pop-jet fountain splash pad, a favorite warm-weather attraction for local families. Along with the water fun, attendees will also enjoy a variety of exclusive offers and activities from participating shops and restaurants throughout the center.

“Every year, we look forward to hosting our annual kick off to summer, celebrating the beginning of clear skies and sunshine,” said Mandy Bishop, marketing manager at The Shops at Perry Crossing. “Whether it’s a cool down at our splash pad or enjoying a day of shopping and dining, families are welcome to enjoy the warm weather with fun and safe activities at The Shops at Perry Crossing.”

To celebrate the reopening of the splash pad, several tenants are joining the excitement by offering special promotions during the two-hour event. Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt will be featuring their $6 No Weigh Wednesday, allowing guests to fill their froyo cups without a weight limit. HotBox Pizza is offering a $6.99 lunch special, while D’s Vintage Toys and Collectibles will host free tabletop gaming sessions for kids and collectors alike. For movie lovers, AMC Perry Crossing 18 will be screening films, and the center is encouraging guests to recycle their reusable popcorn buckets and HotBox Pizza cups at the splash pad.

Following the event, the splash pad will remain open daily from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., running through September 15. Its central location in Town Square makes it a great spot for families to relax and cool off throughout the summer.

Adding to the season’s excitement, The Shops at Perry Crossing is also bringing back another fan favorite—the Hello Kitty Cafe Truck. The cheerful pink vehicle will roll into the Town Square in front of AMC Theatres on Saturday, July 12, from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., offering limited-edition Hello Kitty-themed treats and merchandise while supplies last. Visitors can also explore even more Hello Kitty goods at Claire’s, Hot Topic, Barnes & Noble, and D’s Vintage Toys & Collectibles, all located within the center.
