Shredding Breakfast Party and Car Show in Bloomington to raise funds for cars for keeps nonprofit

Bloomington, Indiana – On Saturday, May 3, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., the parking lot at Hurlow Wealth Management Group will be buzzing with engines, breakfast aromas, and the sound of shredders hard at work. In a unique community event that mixes practical document disposal with automotive fun, Hurlow Wealth Management Group has teamed up with Shredding and Storage Unlimited for a Shredding Breakfast Party and Car Show — all for a good cause.

Located at 3925 E. Hagan Street in Bloomington, the event offers a chance for locals to safely dispose of sensitive documents using Shredding Unlimited’s mobile shredding truck, which will be on-site to destroy materials securely and efficiently. As residents take care of old paperwork, they can enjoy breakfast and browse a diverse lineup of cars ranging from classic beauties to sleek hot rods.

The event isn’t just about shredding and shiny cars — it’s also a fundraiser for Cars for Keeps, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing vehicles and financing options to individuals in need. Whether it’s for getting to work, school, or medical appointments, reliable transportation can be life-changing, and Cars for Keeps helps make that possible.

“Have a classic car, hot rod or a really cool car you would like to show off? Stop by the parking lot at Hurlow Wealth Management and show it off between 9:00 am and 11:00 am,” organizers announced.

Car enthusiasts looking to display their rides are encouraged to bring them to the event. There is a $20 suggested donation to participate in the car show, with all proceeds going directly to support Cars for Keeps. The best part? No registration is required to join the show — just roll up and show off.

Meanwhile, the shredding service is free and open to the public, offering a safe and simple way to get rid of unwanted papers, especially those containing personal or financial information. It’s a great opportunity to declutter responsibly, all while contributing to a meaningful cause.

“While you eat breakfast and enjoy a car show in the parking lot, Shredding Unlimited’s mobile truck will destroy papers,” the announcement said, highlighting the unique multitasking opportunity the event presents.
