Marion High School set to bring the timeless Gershwin musical Crazy for You to the stage this spring

Marion, Indiana – Marion High School Choirs and Drama Club are gearing up to bring a Broadway favorite to life this spring. The beloved Gershwin musical Crazy for You will take center stage at the Walton Performing Arts Center this April, promising an evening of classic music, lively dance numbers, and plenty of laughs.

This high-energy production tells the story of a wealthy city boy who finds himself in a small town, where he falls for a spirited local girl. Packed with humor and romance, the show features some of George and Ira Gershwin’s most unforgettable songs, including I Got Rhythm, They Can’t Take That Away from Me, Embraceable You, and Someone to Watch Over Me. Audiences can expect dazzling choreography, heartfelt performances, and a timeless story that has captivated theater lovers for generations.

The production will showcase the talents of students from both Marion High School and McCulloch Junior High, bringing together a dynamic cast of young performers. Under the guidance of dedicated directors and teachers, the students have been working tirelessly to perfect their performances and deliver a show that highlights their passion for the arts.

The performances are scheduled for 7 p.m. on Friday, April 11, and Saturday, April 12. Tickets are priced at $9 for adults and $7 for students, making it an affordable and entertaining night out for families and community members. Tickets can be purchased in advance online or at the door on the night of the performance, with doors opening 30 minutes before showtime.

Crazy for You is a musical with music and lyrics by George and Ira Gershwin and a book by Ken Ludwig. The Marion High School production is presented by special arrangement with Concord Theatricals.
