Bloomington, Indiana – Indiana University Bloomington (IUB) is gearing up to host its annual Media Career Fair on Thursday, March 5, 2026, offering a unique opportunity for employers and students to connect in the heart of Franklin Hall Commons. The event will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will spotlight some of the Midwest’s most promising media talent.

Are you a media employer looking for interns or early career hires? The Media School at IU is home to students studying in many different areas including Advertising Management, Creative Advertising, Public Relations, Film Production, TV Production, Written Journalism, Broadcast Journalism, Entertainment Media, Game Design, Sports Media, Fashion Media and more! Our students represent the best and brightest talent coming up in these industries in the Midwest, and we can’t wait for you to meet them!

The fair is designed to be inclusive for a wide range of organizations. Companies do not need to be media-specific to participate. However, they do need to be seeking interns or full-time hires for media-related roles, including videography, social media, communications, and similar fields. This approach allows students to explore a broad spectrum of career paths while giving employers access to a diverse pool of talent.

The Media Career Fair is a crucial stepping stone for students looking to transition from the classroom to real-world careers, while also offering employers the chance to scout talent before it enters the competitive media landscape.

The event promises more than just networking. Attendees can expect interactive discussions, opportunities to review portfolios, and face-to-face conversations that can lead to internships, entry-level positions, and long-term professional relationships. For students, it’s a chance to showcase creativity, technical skills, and professional readiness in a fast-moving, highly competitive industry.
