Indianapolis, Indiana – The much-anticipated 2025 Great Indiana State Fair officially kicked off today, bringing together Hoosiers from across the state for a celebration of tradition, agriculture, and community spirit. Among the many excited participants, Secretary of State Diego Morales is especially thrilled to be part of this year’s festivities, continuing the office’s sponsorship of the popular “$2 Tuesdays” event.
On August 5 and August 12, visitors will be able to enjoy the fair’s signature activities at an unbeatable price. Thanks to $2 Tuesdays, fairgoers can access $2 gate admission, ride the Midway for just $2 per ticket, and savor food at select stands for only $2. This initiative is designed to make the fair more accessible to all Hoosiers while promoting an important civic engagement opportunity: voter registration.
The Secretary of State’s office will have multiple tents set up along State Fair Boulevard, where team members will assist visitors with registering to vote, as well as checking and updating their voter registration status. This effort is part of Morales’ ongoing commitment to engage with Hoosiers on the importance of participating in Indiana’s election processes.
“We are excited to connect with Hoosiers at the State Fair, and $2 Tuesdays are a great way to encourage people to come out and learn about the services we offer,” said Morales. “The Indiana State Fair is always my favorite time of the year to connect with Hoosiers and support this longstanding statewide tradition. I have visited numerous county fairs this year, and I am looking forward to spending as much time as possible at the State Fair. I am eager to work with my team to promote voter registration and the key services our office provides to Hoosiers.”
In addition to the $2 Tuesdays events, the Secretary of State’s office will also maintain a presence at two other daily set-ups throughout the fair. These locations will include a booth inside the Mercantile Exhibition Hall and a tent in Celebration Park near the State Fair Free Stage. Both areas will be staffed each day of the fair, offering fairgoers educational materials about the various divisions of the Secretary of State’s office.
As part of his participation, Secretary Morales has expressed his sincere gratitude for the work of fair organizers and law enforcement officials. He commended the teams for their tireless efforts in planning and ensuring the event runs smoothly, providing Hoosiers with a safe and enjoyable experience.

The 2025 Great Indiana State Fair will run for several weeks, with various activities, entertainment, and exhibits scheduled for visitors of all ages. From live performances and agricultural showcases to exciting rides and delicious food, the fair promises a memorable experience for all attendees.
Secretary Morales and his office are particularly focused on the fair as an opportunity to educate the public about the importance of participating in the electoral process. Voting is a cornerstone of democracy, and the Secretary of State’s office hopes to increase engagement by making the registration process more accessible to Hoosiers at the fair.
With the support of events like $2 Tuesdays and the efforts of the Secretary of State’s team, the goal is to ensure that every eligible Hoosier is ready and able to participate in the upcoming elections.
As the fair continues, Hoosiers are encouraged to stop by one of the Secretary of State’s booths to learn more about how they can contribute to Indiana’s democracy, update their voter registration information, and enjoy all the fun the fair has to offer.
Morales’ office is committed to making the fair experience both informative and enjoyable, and he looks forward to meeting as many Hoosiers as possible in the coming days.
The Great Indiana State Fair continues to be a vital tradition in the state, fostering community involvement, celebrating Indiana’s agricultural heritage, and providing a unique space for residents to connect with each other and their state government.
