Indiana DNR offers limited-time holiday gift packs that provide year-round access to state parks and outdoor adventures

Indianapolis, Indiana – As the holiday season approaches, the Indiana Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is offering a limited-time opportunity for those looking to surprise family and friends with a gift that combines adventure, relaxation, and year-round access to the state’s natural treasures. The 2026 DNR holiday gift packs are now available, providing a convenient and affordable way to cross even the hardest-to-shop-for people off your list.

Each gift pack is designed to appeal to a wide variety of outdoor enthusiasts, from those who enjoy camping under the stars to visitors who prefer the comfort of a State Park Inn. By purchasing the gift pack, buyers can save as much as $27 compared with buying the included items separately, making it a practical and budget-friendly holiday option.

“Cross those hard-to-buy-for people off your shopping list in a snap by giving them a 2026 holiday gift pack from the Indiana Department of Natural Resources,” the DNR said in its announcement.

A single gift pack includes a 2026 annual entrance pass, a one-year subscription to Outdoor Indiana magazine, and one of two $65 gift card options. Shoppers can choose a camping gift card for park amenities and outdoor gear, or a State Park Inns gift card for lodging, dining, and other park services. For those looking to enhance the experience, either gift card can be upgraded to $100 for an additional $35, allowing recipients more flexibility for their adventures.

The annual entrance pass grants the vehicle and all passengers entry to 36 state park properties across Indiana beginning January 1, 2026. The pass is valid throughout the entire year, opening the door to hiking, fishing, boating, and other outdoor activities at all state park locations.

For those who choose the State Park Inns gift card, the card can be used for lodging, meals in the Inns’ dining rooms, gift shop purchases, and even at the award-winning Pete Dye-designed golf course at Fort Harrison State Park in Indianapolis. This provides an option for visitors who want to enjoy comfort and recreation in addition to the natural beauty of the parks.

The camping gift card option is versatile for outdoor activities and park amenities, including daily entrance, lake permits, horse tags, and any other items sold at gatehouses, park stores, or gift shops operated by the state. It is important to note that this card cannot be used at privately operated concessions, camp stores, marinas, or saddle barns.

Indiana residents and visitors alike are encouraged to take advantage of this limited offer. Gift packs are available only through shopINStateParks.com and will remain on sale through December 31, 2025, or until supplies run out. Those who miss out on purchasing the gift packs this year will need to wait until the next season, as quantities are strictly limited.
