Noblesville, Indiana – High school students with dreams of serving their country through one of the United States’ prestigious military academies now have an opportunity to take the first step. Representative Victoria Spartz has officially opened the application process for nominations to the U.S. service academies for the class of 2030.
Interested students must submit their completed applications no later than Friday, October 17, 2025. These applications are part of a highly competitive process that allows members of Congress to nominate outstanding young individuals for admission to four of the five U.S. service academies.
Every year, congressional offices across the nation assist in nominating students to the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, U.S. Naval Academy, U.S. Air Force Academy, and U.S. Merchant Marine Academy. These nominations are an essential requirement for admission to these institutions. The U.S. Coast Guard Academy, however, does not require a congressional nomination.

Prospective candidates are required to complete the application process online at https://spartz.house.gov/services/military-academy-nominations. Once complete, applicants must submit their forms to [email protected].
“Our office is proud to support and encourage young Hoosiers who wish to serve their nation,” Rep. Spartz said in a statement. “We look forward to reviewing this year’s group of dedicated and driven applicants.”
In addition to accepting applications, the Congresswoman’s office will also host an informational session this fall for students and families who are interested in learning more about the nomination and academy admission process. Specific details regarding the session will be announced soon.
Students and parents with questions are encouraged to visit the official website or call Rep. Spartz’s office directly at 765-639-0671 for guidance.
These federal service academies provide world-class education and leadership training, and a commitment to military service upon graduation. For Indiana students aiming high and willing to serve, this is an opportunity to begin that journey.
