Marion, Indiana – With the 2025-26 school year just around the corner, Marion Community Schools (MCS) is making it easier for fans to gear up for an exciting year of local sports action. Beginning Monday, August 11, the district will begin selling Giant Passes and MCS Athletic Passes, providing broad access to home athletic events across all grade levels.
Both pass options offer sports fans convenient and cost-effective ways to support their favorite teams throughout the year. Whether you’re a die-hard fan of Marion High School’s storied athletic programs or a family that enjoys following junior high and intermediate school sports, there’s a pass to match your needs.
Sales will be held in the Marion High School Athletic Department Office, located at 750 W. 26th St., at Door 10 on the east side of the Bill Green Athletic Arena. To gain entry, visitors should press the call button located to the right of the door. Office hours for pass purchases are from 9 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 3 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 9 a.m. to noon on Fridays.
The MCS Athletic Pass provides access to all regular season home games at Marion High School, McCulloch Junior High School, and Justice Intermediate School for the entire academic year. This is the most inclusive pass, making it ideal for families or fans who want to follow sports across multiple school levels.
The Giant Pass, on the other hand, is specifically for fans interested only in Marion High School athletics. It includes access to all regular season home games for all sports hosted at the high school.
Both passes also come with Marion High School boys basketball season tickets and admission to the annual scrimmage. However, fans should note that neither pass includes admission to IHSAA post-season events or conference tournaments, which require separate ticket purchases.
In terms of pricing, the MCS Athletic Pass is offered in two formats:
• Family Pass (immediate family only): $295
• Individual Adult Pass: $125
The Giant Pass is a more affordable option for those only following high school athletics:
• Family Pass (immediate family only): $235
• Individual Adult Pass: $100
• Individual Senior Pass (age 60 and older): $90
For those only interested in Marion High School boys basketball, a season ticket package is available for $75, covering 12 regular season home games and the preseason scrimmage. This option saves fans $14 compared to purchasing individual game tickets.
Meanwhile, fans who prefer to pay per event can expect a general admission fee of $7 per game, with preschool-aged children admitted free. For sports such as tennis, golf, and cross country, all events remain free of charge for spectators.
Families with Marion High School students should also be aware that students in grades 9 through 12 can attend all home regular season games for free with a valid student ID. This initiative underscores the district’s commitment to school spirit and student involvement.
With multiple pricing tiers and access options, MCS aims to ensure that every supporter — from proud grandparents to young athletes and their parents — has a chance to be part of the action. Whether you’re watching the Giants take the field on a Friday night or cheering on your junior high athlete in a packed gym, these passes offer year-long value.
Athletic events have long played an important role in the Marion community, serving not only as competition but as moments of pride and connection. With the upcoming season on the horizon, now is the time for fans to secure their passes, grab their school colors, and get ready for a full calendar of athletic excitement.
