Indianapolis, Indiana – The Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis (FHLBank Indianapolis) announced on July 29, 2025, that its Board of Directors has declared dividends for the second quarter of 2025, reflecting the institution’s continued commitment to its member banks and financial partners.
According to the announcement, the Board approved an annualized dividend rate of 9.50% on Class B-2 activity-based capital stock and 4.50% on Class B-1 non-activity-based stock. These dividends will be paid in cash on July 30, 2025.
The higher rate applied to activity-based stock is in line with the Bank’s strategy to support institutions that actively use FHLBank Indianapolis services to meet their liquidity needs. As outlined in the Bank’s capital plan, this approach gives the Board flexibility to reward usage and encourage strong member engagement.
“The higher dividend rate on activity-based stock reflects the Board’s discretion under the Bank’s capital plan to reward members that use FHLBank Indianapolis in support of their liquidity needs,” the Bank stated in its announcement.
FHLBank Indianapolis, one of 11 regional banks in the Federal Home Loan Bank System, plays a key role in supporting housing finance and community investment by providing liquidity to its member institutions. These members include commercial banks, credit unions, insurance companies, and community development financial institutions across Indiana and Michigan.
Dividends such as those declared this quarter are a major component of the value FHLBank Indianapolis provides to its members. They reflect not only financial performance but also the strength of ongoing partnerships across the region.
The Bank is expected to release its full second-quarter earnings report shortly, providing further detail on financial performance and market conditions during the period.
In the meantime, members can expect their dividend payments as scheduled, with a continued focus on supporting local financial institutions and strengthening community lending efforts throughout the district.
