Bloomington, Indiana – The City of Bloomington Volunteer Network (CBVN) is excited to announce the 2024 City of Bloomington Volunteer Fair, which will take place at Fernandez Plaza in front of City Hall on August 24th from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. In case of rain, the fair will be rescheduled for August 31st. This event will run concurrently with the Bloomington Community Farmers Market, ensuring a diverse and vibrant crowd of attendees.
Connecting Non-Profits and Community Members
The Volunteer Fair serves as a platform for non-profit organizations from Bloomington, Monroe County, and surrounding areas to share their programs and needs with the community. It is an excellent opportunity for these organizations to recruit new volunteers and network with other leaders in the non-profit sector. Residents will have the chance to speak directly with organization representatives, get their questions answered, and discover meaningful ways to engage in community service.
Table registration for non-profits is free, but space is limited. Organizations are encouraged to register as soon as possible, with the registration deadline set for August 16th or until all spaces are filled. Interested parties can register for a table by visiting the CBVN website.
The CBVN is dedicated to fostering a strong, healthy, and engaged community. By connecting volunteers of all ages with opportunities to serve and providing resources to develop effective volunteer projects, the CBVN aims to inspire, support, and celebrate volunteerism in Bloomington. This fair is a testament to their commitment to building partnerships and enhancing community involvement.
