Bloomington Economic Development Corporation invites proposals for comprehensive information technology management services to support its mission across Monroe County

Bloomington, Indiana – The Bloomington Economic Development Corporation (BEDC) is taking proactive steps to improve its technology systems by issuing a Request for Proposals (RFP) for information technology management services. The organization is searching for an experienced and dependable IT partner who can help strengthen BEDC’s technology infrastructure and allow its staff to concentrate more fully on driving economic development across Monroe County.

BEDC’s needs extend beyond the basics of computer and network support. The organization is looking for a comprehensive IT solution that includes infrastructure management, helpdesk services, cybersecurity protection, and administration of tools like Google Workspace or Microsoft Workspace. Additionally, the chosen provider will be expected to assist with the development of IT policies, coordinate with technology vendors, and offer guidance on best practices to ensure BEDC operates efficiently and securely.

“We’re committed to creating a high-performing environment for our team,” said Kristi Wasson, Operations Manager for the BEDC. “This RFP is an opportunity to partner with an expert who can help us modernize and secure our systems, improve staff productivity, and keep pace with the growing demands of our work.”

The BEDC views this as a critical investment in its future success. With cyber threats becoming increasingly sophisticated and organizations depending more than ever on reliable digital systems, BEDC recognizes that maintaining a secure and adaptable IT environment is key to fulfilling its mission of supporting business growth and economic progress throughout the region.

Vendors interested in submitting proposals should prepare to provide detailed information on several key areas. These include a company overview, relevant past experience, cybersecurity measures, support structure, pricing, and references from organizations with similar needs. BEDC will carefully evaluate each proposal based on the vendor’s expertise, quality of proposed solutions, cost-effectiveness, and dedication to delivering strong customer service.

The RFP process has been structured with clear deadlines to ensure a timely selection. Questions from potential vendors are due by August 1, 2025. Final proposals must be submitted no later than August 6, 2025. All submissions and any inquiries should be sent directly to Kristi Wasson at [email protected].
