Bloomington City Government opens applications for residential parking permits for 2025-2026 year

Bloomington, Indiana – The City of Bloomington has announced that residential parking permits for the 2025-2026 period are now available for purchase online. This opportunity is open to residents living in Neighborhood Parking Zones 1 through 6 and 9 through 11, allowing them to easily apply for permits via the city’s online platform at bloomington.t2hosted.com.

To help residents understand where these permits are required, the city has provided an interactive map. This map highlights the specific areas in Bloomington where on-street parking requires a permit, and it can be accessed online at bton.in/resip. This makes it easier for residents to determine whether they need to purchase a permit based on their neighborhood’s parking regulations.

The online application process requires a few key documents. Applicants must provide their current vehicle registration(s), a driver’s license, a current property tax statement or utility bill, a signed and dated lease, and information related to any disability parking placard or disability license plate. Additionally, Indiana University students who live in Greek houses or the Collins Living-Learning Center must submit extra documentation to complete their application.

For those unfamiliar with the online application process, the city has provided detailed instructions at bton.in/~rPkE. These instructions guide applicants step by step, ensuring that the process is as smooth as possible. If any issues arise or if residents have questions, they can contact Parking Services directly at [email protected] or call 812-349-3436 for assistance.

In-person sales for permits are not available, and all permits will be mailed directly to residents. This shift to an entirely online process aims to streamline the application system and improve overall convenience for Bloomington residents.
