Governor Braun releases a full week of public events across Indiana beginning November 3 focused on growth and community engagement

Indianapolis, Indiana – Indiana Governor Mike Braun will spend the week of November 3 traveling across the state, meeting with business leaders, touring historic and cultural sites, and emphasizing his administration’s ongoing commitment to economic growth, affordability, and innovation. His public schedule, released by the Governor’s Office, outlines a full slate of appearances from New Albany to West Lafayette and beyond — with a focus on collaboration, regional development, and the spirit of Hoosier enterprise.

Governor Braun’s engagements begin Monday, November 3, with a fireside chat hosted by One Southern Indiana, the Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development Organization serving Clark, Floyd, and Scott counties. The discussion, scheduled for 11:00 a.m. at The Grand in New Albany, will center on Braun’s top priorities — improving the cost of living, strengthening the economy, and positioning Indiana as the best place in the nation to live and do business. “We are constantly working with our local government partners to make Indiana a more affordable place to live, do business and raise a family,” the Governor has said in past remarks emphasizing his focus on local collaboration and fiscal efficiency.

Later that afternoon, the Governor will make a stop at the Corydon Capitol State Historic Site at 2:30 p.m., where he will tour Indiana’s first state capitol building along with the Governor Hendricks House, Porter Law Office, and the Constitution Elm. The visit is part of Braun’s ongoing effort to highlight Indiana’s deep historical roots and connect them with the state’s forward-looking agenda. Media will be allowed to capture b-roll footage of the visit.

On Tuesday, November 4, Governor Braun will shift focus to economic development with two key appearances in southern Indiana. His morning begins in Richland City at 9:45 a.m., where he will deliver remarks at the READI 2.0 Celebration Event, marking a milestone for the Indiana First READI Region. The READI program — short for Regional Economic Acceleration and Development Initiative — has become a cornerstone of Indiana’s strategy to foster growth by empowering local regions to plan and execute transformative projects. Through READI 2.0, the state partners with communities to fund initiatives that deliver the greatest possible impact on jobs, infrastructure, and quality of life.

Just a few hours later, at 11:30 a.m., the Governor will attend the Evansville Regional Development Governor’s Lunch and Fireside Chat, hosted by the Evansville Regional Economic Partnership at the Old National Events Plaza. There, Braun will continue the conversation about regional collaboration, job creation, and wage growth, while also addressing the state’s ongoing efforts to lower the cost of living for families. “These municipalities are joining forces, looking at opportunities to lower costs and ultimately save taxpayers money. We will continue to work together and support measures that result in streamlined services,” the Governor has said — a sentiment that aligns closely with the state’s broader efficiency and shared service initiatives.

Governor Braun’s week continues on Wednesday, November 5, with a busy itinerary that highlights both infrastructure development and Indiana’s cultural and technological leadership. At 1:15 p.m., Braun will attend the Grand Opening of the Clear Creek Welcome Center in West Terre Haute. Inspired by the legacy of the Indianapolis 500, the new facility will serve as a welcoming destination for travelers along I-70, offering amenities to “rest, relax, and recharge.” The Governor will deliver remarks and take part in the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the center, which will include expanded truck parking with 128 spaces. The project underscores Indiana’s identity as the “Crossroads of America” and reflects a commitment to supporting both tourism and transportation infrastructure.

Following that event, the Governor will make his way to Dana, Indiana, for a tour of the Ernie Pyle World War II Museum at 2:45 p.m. The museum honors the legacy of famed war correspondent Ernie Pyle, who chronicled the experiences of American soldiers during World War II. Braun’s visit continues his pattern of connecting with communities that preserve Indiana’s heritage while inspiring civic pride among residents.

That evening, Governor Braun will participate in the Global Nuclear Energy Economic Summit hosted by Purdue University in West Lafayette. The 5:00 p.m. event, held at Loeb Playhouse in the Stewart Center, will feature a fireside chat between Braun and Purdue President Mung Chiang, focusing on Indiana’s leadership role in the growing field of nuclear energy. The discussion is expected to explore how the state can leverage innovation, education, and investment to drive energy independence and long-term sustainability. As the Governor has emphasized in previous forums, advancing energy technology aligns with his goal of ensuring Indiana remains competitive on a national and global scale.

The Governor’s public schedule concludes on Friday, November 7, where he will serve as keynote speaker at the Jasper Chamber of Commerce Luncheon at The Calumet Lake Pavilion. The 11:30 a.m. event will center on regional collaboration, workforce development, and economic opportunity. Braun is expected to reiterate his focus on improving wages, creating jobs, and making Indiana one of the most affordable states to live and work.

Throughout his week of public events, Governor Braun will continue to emphasize the importance of efficiency and collaboration — themes that mirror the ongoing Local Government Efficiency and Shared Services initiatives promoted across the state. These programs, supported by grant funding and inter-municipal partnerships, encourage local governments to share resources, streamline operations, and reduce costs for taxpayers. Such efforts reflect the same philosophy Braun has carried from his time in the private sector: that lean, effective governance is key to long-term prosperity.

Governor Braun’s approach combines policy, practicality, and presence — engaging directly with local leaders and citizens across a diverse range of communities. Whether addressing business chambers in southern Indiana, cutting ribbons in Terre Haute, or discussing energy innovation in West Lafayette, his public engagements this week underscore a consistent message: that the strength of Indiana’s economy lies in its people, its partnerships, and its shared vision for the future.

From historic preservation to economic acceleration, the week of November 3 demonstrates a Governor on the move — one focused on growth, efficiency, and keeping Indiana’s promise as a state where opportunity continues to expand for every Hoosier.
